In a typical year, TSAChoice will celebrate the previous year in February. It is a time when we come together to celebrate our accomplishments as a team and as individuals.
In early 2021, we were still well into the throws of COVID, so we delayed it a bit. On May 26th, we were finally able to get the team together for our 2020 awards.
The plan this year- to hold an outdoor event in our parking lot, provide plenty of elbow room, throw some burgers and hot dogs on the grill and enjoy a couple of hours as a team. We lucked out with a lovely day and no rain in sight.
The TSA”Choice” awards are always a favorite event of the year, but this year, even without the fancy venue, there was something extraordinary about the day. It was a heartfelt afternoon as person after person stepped up to the podium, always starting with how amazing this team is and how we have pulled through the last 12+ months and come through stronger than we were before COVID.
We were fortunate to be considered an “essential” business, and while we may not have had a strong financial year, we had so many wins and so many blessings to count. In March, we faced an influx of businesses scrambling to get their teams working from home. Our Managed Service Team kicked it into high gear, putting in extra long days to get clients set up for remote work. As the year continued, like most businesses, we didn’t see as much work coming through, so we found other ways to keep going.
The strategy, try to keep everyone working and come out as a better company when this was over. When we were not working for clients, we used this time to work on training, improve processes, and even did some maintenance inside and outside our building.
As we try to keep traditions going, our team voted during the first quarter of 2021 to determine our award winners from the previous year. So let’s get on with announcing who won the 2020 TSA”Choice” awards.
