For 25 years, LEAF has worked to build communities, connect cultures, and enrich lives through the arts — both locally and globally — through community events, festivals, and education programs. This nonprofit’s most recent project was building an ambitious new venue in the heart of downtown Asheville’s Eagle Street neighborhood: the LEAF Global Arts Center.
Challenge
The LEAF Global Arts Center is the culmination of a lot of creativity and dreaming from the staff at LEAF. The goal was to create a space where people can engage with each other using technology, including virtual reality experiences that can take people around the world using a customized “Go Global” world map.

- Installed a large, sophisticated audio/visual system for entire facility
- Collaborated with Charlotte-based technology company Interactive Knowledge to create and install a powerful, custom-built interactive video wall and one of the world’s largest immersive touch-screen maps
- Installed digital signage and background audio
Outcome
Visitors to the LEAF Global Arts Center can now travel the world through its Go Global interactive map — and TSAChoice was thrilled to help make it happen. The center is a place that brings all aspects of LEAF’s mission into one location for families to experience the work that LEAF does, all year around.
